Mayoral Message 2024

I am absolutely thrilled to extend a warm welcome to each one of you to the highly-anticipated The Hills Young Musicians Contest 2024, a part of our splendid Orange Blossom Festival.

The recent years have emphasised the priceless value of coming together and celebrating our shared love for music.

This contest offers a captivating platform for young, talented musicians to showcase their musical prowess in front of an audience.

I am deeply grateful to the incredibly talented musicians for fearlessly taking this leap and allowing us to be a part of their musical journey.

I also wish to express my sincere appreciation to Dr Brian Koo, the visionary founding conductor, for inspiring and guiding these gifted young individuals on their path to pursuing classical music and honing their craft.

A big thank you to all the wonderful individuals who have worked tirelessly to bring this event to life, including the devoted parents and guardians – your support is invaluable.

I encourage you to immerse yourself in the performance and allow the music to move you.

I wholeheartedly look forward to seeing each one of you at our other Orange Blossom Festival events.
